One-way section on Quarterbridge Road from today

A section of Quarterbridge Road will be made one-way from today as construction works resume.

Efforts are restarting at 9am this morning on the section between the Quarterbridge Roundabouts and Selborne Drive to improve pavements after being temporarily halted due to recent Covid-19 restrictions.

The traffic system in the area is expected to be in place until Sunday, February 28 - nearby residents have been sent letters informing them of the initiative.

Diversions around the project will be in place - details of those and road closures are available below.

**

- Southbound traffic that would normally use Quarterbridge Road will be diverted at the bottom of Bray Hill via a signed route (Tromode Road, Ballafletcher Road, Braddan Road and then onto Peel Road and back to Quarterbridge).

- The junction of Quarterbridge Road with Alexander Drive will be one way from Quarterbridge Road and into Alexander Drive . Traffic that would normally travel via Alexander Drive into Quarterbridge Road will be diverted via a signed route (Devonshire Road, Selborne Drive and on to Quarterbridge Road).

- The junction with Quarterbridge Road and Devonshire Road will remain open but traffic will be able to turn right towards Bray Hill only.

- Brunswick Road & Cronkbourne Road junctions will remain open

- Traffic from the North (Johnny Wattersons Lane) will be diverted via a signed route (Ballafletcher Road, Braddan Road and then onto Peel Road and back to Quarterbridge).
