Onchan Commissioners hits back at DSC

Onchan Commissioners has suggested an alternative method of reducing public sector housing waiting lists.

It has opposed plans put forward by Social Care that would see it consolidated into one housing body along with Peel, Marown and Braddan.

It argue this is unnecessary and unfair to the tenants of Onchan.

The commissioners' current annual rent income is £1.8 million and it doesn't need to source any funds from government for the social housing management.
