Onchan Commissioners say they feel they haven’t been premature in voicing their concerns about government’s plans to consolidate housing bodies on Island.
Under the proposals Onchan, Braddan, Marown and Peel would have their housing amalgamated into one authority.
Social Care Minister Chris Robertshaw commissioned the review, he is looking for a new system to tackle the problem of public sector housing waiting lists.
Onchan Commissioner Rob Callister told us he feels the need for changing Onchan's successful existing system is unjustified, and the costly report has been a waste of money:
