OFT warn about faulty ipod nanos

A warning has been issued by the Office of Fair Trading in relation to a potential safety hazard with the 1st generation iPod nano mp3 player.

The warning related to the devices sold between September 2005 and December 2006.

It's been identified that these specific models have batteries which can overheat causing a safety risk.

While the possibility of an incident is rare, the likelihood increases as the battery ages.

Apple recommends you stop using you iPod nano and follow instructions on their support website to order a replacement model.

Your serial number will be checked to ensure you're eligible for a replacement.
