The Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading is flagging up the hazards of window blinds for children.
In a fresh warning, the organisation said blind cords or chains should be positioned well above the ground and wrapped away out of reach.
It also strongly suggests moving furniture away from windows and checking cords regularly to avoid youngsters becoming entangled.
Since 2014 safety standards for blinds have improved, but products bought before then might be dangerous.
An OFT spokesman said: "Looped blind cords can strangle young children and the OFT fully supports this important safety message which could affect many households on the island and help prevent an avoidable accident".
