A police officer has appeared in court charged with domestic abuse.
56 year old PC Mark David Hempsall appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
No plea has yet been entered to the allegation he subjected the woman to physical and psychological abuse.
He was bailed to appear again on October 31.
