Off-Licenses Sign Upto Code of Practice
All of the Island’s off-licences have signed up to a code of practice to ensure responsible retailing.
Requirements of the code require the licence holders to remove unsuitable satellite areas, remove advertisements and bulk sales from outside main alcohol retail areas, they are also required to provide health leaflets.
The scheme comes off the back of Challenge 25, which raised the proof of identity requirement to 25 years for anyone purchasing alcohol from off licences.
