The Islands Fire and Rescue service was mobilised to numerous incidents across the Island yesterday, including a gorse fire in Port Soderick.
Personnel were called to Keristal at 4.30pm to reports of a rapidly growing gorse blaze - firefighters were able to extinguish the flames before they were able to take hold and the cause of it is currently unknown.
Elsewhere, just before Noon, Douglas crews were called to Keyll Daree at Noble's Hospital to reports of billowing smoke which was found to be coming from a faulty microwave which was then removed and the smoke cleared.
Meanwhile, personnel from the Laxey station were dispatched to an overheating car on Beach Road in Baldrine at around 3.30pm - teams were at the scene for around 20 minutes to make the vehicle safe.
