Their three main targets are Young People, Roads and Drivers and Community Policing.
The Northern Neighbourhood Policing Team has published a new set of priorities, which they hope will improve the service they currently provide to the North of the Island.
Their three main targets are Young People, Roads and Drivers and Community Policing.
The list outlines plans to engage closely with the North’s younger generation, with more school and youth club visits planned.
They are also looking to significantly reduce road traffic collisions, especially those resulting in serious injury or death, it’s thought extra help from Roads Policing Officers will be needed to help this aim come into fruition.
With regards to Community Policing their main target is to improve and increase their availability and accessibility.
Inspector Richard Power of the NNPT told 3FM that despite a reduction in the level of crime in the area, it’s important they don’t rest on their laurels.
