Norovirus Outbreak Closes Ramsey Cottage Hospital to Admissions

Ramsey Cottage Hospital has had to be closed to admissions due to the spiralling Norovirus outbreak.

The winter vomiting virus is highly contagious and anyone who has contracted it must remain isolated for upto 2 days after the symptoms wear off.

Anyone who has Norovirus is also reminded not to visit A&E at Nobles or the Minor Injuries at the Cottage Hospital; if you need medical advice you must contact your Doctor by telephone.

The Ramsey hospital remains open for outpatients and clinic attendees; visitors are also allowed, except Children who are more susceptible to the virus.
