Noble’s Hospital will this week be holding a number of events and activities to promote the importance of nutrition and hydration.
National agency, ‘Patient Safety First’ set up the campaign as a way of improving patient care across the UK.
Poor nutrition is recognised as being both a cause and consequence of disease, with one in four hospital submissions relating to malnourishment.
The awareness week will provide information on healthy diets and how to recognise the signs of poor nutrition and dehydration.
