The Island's buses won't be fitted with winter tyres during bad weather.
That's according to Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer who was quizzed by Ramsey MHK Dr Alex Allinson in Tynwald this week.
Dr Allinson wanted to know how buses deal with the Island's unpredictable weather.
In response, Mr Harmer said there are no plans to fit specialist tyres as they're too expensive, they'd wear quickly on Island roads and wouldn't bring any benefits.
