The Isle of Man Creamery says they're discontinuing its 250g block of whey butter.
On Facebook, The Ballafletcher Farm Road dairy said customers may have noticed the product has been absent in recent months.
It says the niche item is made in very small batches and has become challenging to produce to consistent quality and supply standards.
Nothing will be going to waste however, the whey cream previously used will now be supplied to a local food producer to support the Island's food community.
