The chief minister says there are no plans to showcase Manx produce at the new ferry terminal in Liverpool.
This week in the House of Keys he faced questions about the new facility from Arbory, Malew and Castletown MHK Jason Moorhouse.
Mr Cannan said there wouldn't be a dedicated area devoted to Manx goods.
But he said government bodies were keen to use the terminal in future:
