The Island's Enterprise Minister says there are no plans for extra charges for Manx-registered companies.
Laurence Skelly was questioned by Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse in the House of Keys this week.
Mr Moorhouse wanted to know how many companies were registered at the end of 2017, and if the minister would introduce an annual charge for them.
Mr Skelly said there were almost 27,000 companies at the end of last year, most of which already pay an annual fee of £380.
