Patients don't need to provide proof of address to attend local GP practices.
Health and Social Care Minister David Ashford confirmed this in the House of Keys yesterday when he was questioned by Onchan MHK Julie Edge.
She asked what forms of identity people need to register with their doctor.
In response, he said patients who go to their doctor don't need proof of residency, but do need to register with the practice.
