Manx Care says it doesn't know how much a backdated pay rise for medical staff will cost in total.
A Freedom of Information request asked for the figure after the organisation announced a rise of six per cent this year.
In its response, Manx Care it doesn't yet hold the data, because it hasn't yet been calculated.
The organisation says it'll work out what it owes staff when September's payroll is processed.
