Flybe has confirmed that they remain in consultation with its Trades Unions and staff representative bodies.
They say despite speculation no decisions have yet been taken about the potential base closure or redundancies.
Their statement reveals they are working closely with the government with regard to specific operational needs of individual.
They have reiterated their commitment to operate services to the island even if the proposed base closure comes into effect on 31st March.
