The government hasn't had any talks over asylum seekers being sent here from the UK.
Chief Minister Alf Cannan was asked about the possibility by Arbory, Malew and Castletown MHK Jason Moorhouse in a question for written reply.
Mr Cannan said although the previous Conservative government talked about a plan to send asylum seekers here in 2021, no approach was ever made.
In his response, Mr Cannan also revealed the Isle of Man cannot legally receive or process asylum seekers - only the UK can do so.
