No alien warlord standing in Onchan election after deadline passes

A galactic warrior with a bin for a face won't be contesting their year's general election after all.

Lord WheelyBin took to Facebook to announce they would stand for a House of Keys seat in Onchan.

The deadline for nominations passed at 2pm yesterday - and the alien warlord hadn't managed to submit their forms.

It means six Onchan candidates will battle it out in September's polls: Rob Edward Callister, Gabriella Louise Corkish, Julie Marie Edge, Rachel Heather Glover, Peter Karran (Liberal Vannin), Oliver John Lockwood.
