The Met Office will launch a new weather warning system from January.
The Isle of Man Meteorological Office will use the new system from Wednesday, January 3, replacing the current colour-coded warnings.
It's hoped the changes will mean more accurate forecasts, especially during extreme events such as heavy rain, flooding or snow.
Meteorologists say there'll be a new 'weather watch warning' which can be issued a few days before bad weather conditions hit.
