The Economic Development’s Motorsports Team has confirmed more Reticel fencing has been purchased for this year.
£60,000 has been set aside for the safety improvements.
The fencing will be re-used year on year meaning that upto 2,000 straw bales that are traditionally used will no longer be needed.
During the review the team sought the opinions of the riders themselves.
It’s thought this investment will further professionalise the circuit, as well as providing additional safety to competitors.
