Revised plans for the future look of Douglas Promenade will go before Tynwald next month.
That's the message from the Department of Infrastructure which says it's time to get on with the job.
The long-running saga has already cost taxpayers over £3 million - an additional £40,000 is now being spent on resurfacing the carriageway as a 'quick fix' whilst new plans are finalised.
Minister Ray Harmer says Tynwald Members will be asked to vote on two design concepts - both of which take account of the horse tram tracks:
