A local charity is working to improve facilities for young patients at Noble's Hospital.
Bridge the Gap supports 14 to 24-year-olds who have complex, chronic and life-threatening conditions.
It's now started work to place a youth worker in the hospital to work with patients - fundraising is also underway for a 'pod' which will provide a comfortable space for young people.
Youth worker Ken Callister says there are no other suitable spaces for patients to get away from the hospital environment:
