A new £2.2million lifeboat is due to arrive on Island next month.
The Shannon class all-weather vessel will join Peel RNLI station on Sunday, March 15 and has been undergoing testing and training in Poole since September last year.
The craft is the long-term replacement for the Ruby Clery and is designed to be safer, faster, more agile and have a greater range.
Peel Lifeboat Operations Manager, Allen Corlett, says crews have been training for several months in preparation - an official naming ceremony for the boat is currently scheduled for Saturday, June 27.
