Government says people's earnings rose by 2.2 per cent last year - but those on the lowest wages saw an even bigger increase.
The latest earnings survey from the Economic Affairs Division says people on the Island earning least saw their wages rise by 4.5 per cent.
The figures show the average weekly wage on the Island is now £685 - well above the equivalent UK figure.
