A public consultation has been launched by the Council of Ministers focusing on the funding of candidates standing for election in the Isle of Man.
The council have put together the consultation following a report to its Governance Committee from an independent panel appointed to review the issue.
Among the proposals put forward are from now on candidates for the House of Keys must publicly disclose all donations received, and anonymous donations should be prohibited.
There is also a suggestion that candidate spending should be capped at £2,000, plus 50 pence per registered elector in the constituency.
