Sandra Cottam-Shea has become the newest member of Ramsey commissioners.
The town went to the polls yesterday in a by-election triggered by the death of Leonard Singer.
Mrs Cottam-Shea was elected with 162 votes, slightly ahead of second-place Joe Callister, who registered 143 votes.
485 people cast valid votes in South Ward, a turnout of 18.6 per cent.
