Chief Minister Alf Cannan could be ousted from his job later.
When the House of Keys sits this morning, he faces a vote of no confidence in his leadership.
Arbory, Malew and Castletown MHK Tim Glover has put forward the vote but it's not binding - Mr Cannan could choose to stay chief minister even if he loses.
MHKs will meet in Legislative Buildings in Douglas from 10am.
