'Ambitious' plans to open a new bail hostel on the Isle of Man should be achieved later this year:
The 12-bed centre will be based in Tromode and will replace the current hostel which is owned and managed by the Salvation Army.
The Department of Home Affairs claims it will provide an increased focus on rehabilitation as the Probation Service will also be relocating to the site.
Minister Juan Watterson says it has cost just under £200,000 to do the conversion work:
