New abortion law campaign group launched

A local group which wants to see Manx abortion laws protected has launched a new campaign.

The Island's branch of Humanity and Equality in Abortion Reform held its inaugral meeting at the Manx Legion in Douglas - spokeswoman Hannah Grove and two guest speakers explained their expectations for changes to abortion law:

The group wants government to look at ways in which the legislation can be reinforced with improvements to pregnancy support, disability discrimination and protecting the mental health of the mother.
