The Island's assisted dying laws will take at least five years to be brought in fully, according to a UK MP.
Dame Meg Hillier, Labour MP for Hackney South and Shoreditch, was speaking during a debate into the UK's proposals on Friday.
She said she'd visited the Island to speak to Dr Alex Allinson, who sponsored the Manx bill through Tynwald.
Commenting on how long it might take to change the law in Westminster, she says he told her it will take at least five years to implement the new laws.
