The Mountain Road will be closed for two days next week for essential maintenance work.
Weather permitting the closure will be in place on Monday and Tuesday between 9.30am and 4.30pm.
Work to be carried out includes the rebuilding of a wall on the Mountain Mile, cleaning out of ditches and pothole repairs.
The Department of Infrastructure says all these works involve having the workforce and vehicles on the road and it’s safest for it to be closed completely.
