Motorhomes and work vans in residential areas tackled in public consultation

One of the key areas that was flagged up was the need to encourage more good neighbour parking schemes.

The results of the recent consultation into large vehicles parking in residential areas have been collected with the Department of Infrastructure now releasing the findings.

One of the key areas that was flagged up was the need to encourage more good neighbour parking schemes.

Those who took part also voiced their concern about work vans parking in the residential areas, saying it should be upto the employer to organise alternative off road parking provision.

Motorhomes left on residential roads were also frowned upon; Minister Gawne said efforts will now be made to identify parking areas for the large vehicles where they will cause minimum disruption.

The findings of the consultation will now help the Department shape future policy.
