More than half of the vehicles stopped on the first night of the Police's winter checks campaign had defects.
That's according to officers who stopped 43 vehicles yesterday in two locations across the Island.
They say over half had a defect, one of which was even seized.
The constabulary has described it as 'not a great start' - and is urging drivers to make sure their cars are safe for the roads.
