A former government minister is celebrating the fact that more and more teenagers are getting involved in politics on the Isle of Man.
David Cretney was one of the politicians who pushed to lower the voting age in 2006.
He thinks the changes led to youngsters feeling more engaged and more empowered.
Mr Cretney said: "More involvement from the youth of the island will be very positive for the Isle of Man.
"The teenage voice is getting louder and it's calling for more affordable housing and more efforts to protect the planet".
The Isle of Man was the first place in Europe to allow over-sixteens to cast their vote.
