People purporting to be from Microsoft are scam-calling residents on the Isle of Man.
Police say they've received numerous reports from the public that they've been contacted by someone from Microsoft Windows.
They call to say that their system indicates their computers are running slow because they've been hacked by someone.
Callers are then duped into providing log-on details - this information could give the caller everything they need to hack the computers remotely.
Police have warned people not to give out any sensitive information over the phone.
