Treasury Minister Alf Cannan says more Manx £1 notes could soon be issued as the UK's new pound coin is introduced.
In Tynwald this week he faced a question for written answer from Rushen MHK Juan Watterson about the new coins - and whether the Isle of Man could see more fakes as they're phased out across.
Mr Cannan said although the risk of forgeries coming to the Island was small the Treasury would be giving advice on how to spot them.
And he said he'd issue more pound notes in the near future - particularly in the run-up to TT.
