Cigarette age restrictions will be on the agenda at next week's House of Keys sitting.
Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse will ask Cabinet Office Minister Kate Lord-Brennan what assessment Public Health has done about increasing the age by a year.
The UK is planning to increase the age for tobacco products by one year each year from 2027.
