Not enough has been done to stop the spread of larch disease, which could wipe out 700 acres of the Island’s forest.
That’s the admission from the Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Phil Gawne - who fielded questions on the subject in the House of Keys.
In a bid to stop it spreading, a UK contractor with specialist machinery has been brought in to fell diseased trees at an increased rate.
