Satnav companies collect their own data about speed limits - including the island's 20mph zones.
So says Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall after a question in the house of Keys from Onchan MHK Julie Edge this week.
She told members about a road in the south of the Island which is derestricted but shows up as having a 20 limit.
Mr Crookall said the government doesn't directly pass on information to companies, but added if Mrs Edge was interested there was an easy way to find out more:
