Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall has denied cutting children's school bus pass hours is about money.
In the House of Keys this week, he faced questions about limiting the free bus passes to 5pm instead of 6pm.
He said students used the cards to make 1,000 bus journeys between 5pm and 6pm since the new term started in September.
But he said forcing children to pay for those journeys in future isn't about cash:
