Education and Children Minister Graham Cregeen has dismissed claims teachers across the Island are being threatened and abused by pupils.
In the House of Keys yesterday he faced questions from Onchan MHK Julie Edge over the claims, made by the NASUWT teaching union.
Mr Cregeen said the proportion of Island teachers leaving the profession each year is around half what it is in the UK.
And he said claims the issue wasn't being dealt with simply aren't true:
