Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall says he doesn't know when five-year old laws governing landlords will come into force.
In Tynwald this week he faced questions from Gary Clueit MLC about when the Landlord Registration Act 2021 would come in to regulate private landlords.
Mr Crookall said his department was discussing the law with the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture.
But he added he couldn't say when it would become law:
