The Home Affairs Minister has confirmed he's blocked the sale of the former Fire and Rescue Service headquarters.
Bill Malarkey told Tynwald this week the Homefield site, on Woodbourne Road in Douglas, is no longer on the open market.
He said he took the decision when he was appointed as Minister in October - that's despite the former Minister accepting an offer on it.
That offer came from the same developers who built a residential home on Salisbury Street which government then bought:
MEDS phone line to be down temporarily
Committee to examine link between poverty and poor academic performance
Police advice for trick-or-treaters to stay safe
