Chief Minister Alf Cannan says military responses to a Russian spy ship off the Island's coast are too classified to share.
In the House of Keys this week he faced questions from Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse about the Yantar.
The vessel was loitering off the Island's coast earlier this month but Mr Cannan said he'd had no contact with the UK about it.
And when pressed by Onchan MHK Julie Edge about NATO submarines passing nearby, Mr Cannan was staying tight-lipped:
