Middle MHK Bill Shimmins says he's standing down after just one term in office.
The former Isle of Man Bank managing director has announced he won't be running in this year's General Election.
Announcing his decision on Twitter, he said his current priority is spending more time with his family.
It means neither of Middle's current representatives will be in post after September, with Chief Minister Howard Quayle also saying he won't be standing for election again.
After much consideration, I have decided not to stand for the House of Keys election in September. My priority at this stage is to spend more time assisting my family. It has been a great privilege to represent the people of Middle and the Island.
