Microchipping your four-legged friend is now compulsory.
From today, it's now a legal requirement to get your pooch fitted with the device.
The law was first brought in earlier this year, which consequently brings an end to traditional dog licences.
If owners fail to do so, they could face a hefty fine of up to £500.
