A developer working on plans for a Ramsey housing estate says changes to the scheme will make it greener.
Hartford Homes has applied to amend planning permission for more than 80 homes at The Vollan.
The proposed changes would see a micro-forest planted on open space, made up of fast-growing native trees.
A total of 1,600 Manx native trees will be be used to create several small forests.
In its application, the company says the new plan would maximise the ecological benefits and provide new habitats for wildlife.
