Micro-distillery plans for Sulby shed

A shed in Sulby could become a new micro-distillery, if planners give the go-ahead.

Tony Cawte of Kella Close has applied for permission to put a shed in his garden to house the operation.

In his application, he says the building would operate for up to five hours once a month to produce around 50 litres of spirits.

The finished product would then be stored elsewhere in what's described as a private, hobby-scale operation with a limited commercial output.
